The mining project will create over 2,300 direct jobs during the mine construction phase, 800 direct jobs during the exploitation and 3,600 jobs in total during operation. Major contributions to the local and state budgets, will help develop public utility investments in the area. The mining project includes the development of a modern infrastructure, which can also be utilized after the project is over, as well as providing micro-crediting facilities and proper training programmes, meant to foster the entrepreneurship spirit of the local people.
To date, 125 families have chosen to become citizens of Alba Iulia, opting for one of the types of houses built by RMGC in Recea.
By its very initial concept – designed so as to develop a Central area of public institutions and services, while also being an inhabited area, the future resettlement site of Rosia Montana was the main objective of the Company’s strategy to encourage the families in the area affected by the project to remain in Rosia Montana.
